{organic shapes and textures in 2 new thibaut books}

Natural, organic shapes and textures have been on-trend for months (in case you haven’t noticed all of our blogs on the topic), and now Thibaut has their own bold, beautiful contributions to offer. We just love their new books, Greenwood and  Texture Resource Vol. 5.

Greenwood

Thibaut says this wonderful collection of traditionally rooted patterns is inspired by travels to coastal Australia, Africa, and the brilliant British Isles. The spirited large-scale designs of wallpaper and print and embroidered fabrics include striking zebra stripes. classic paisleys, and invigorating jewel-tone palettes, along with deep blues and rainforest greens.

Among the natural inspirations, Venus evokes memories of marble walls from castles and estates. This stunning pattern simulates a marble texture but is smooth and chic.

Adapted from motifs that were popular in the 1600s, the Kimberly pattern has a spotted ogee trellis that lends a playful twist — much like its name. Many of the patterns in this collection are actually named for Thibaut employees, and the real Kimberly is a salesperson in Illinois.

This book offers a combination of new patterns and existing best sellers with updated color palettes. For example, Bankun Raffia has been one of their top selling texture patterns for many years. It features a tight faux-weave with tie marks, like real woven palm leaves. The popular wallpaper now comes in 30 colorways for the kind of depth and dimension that cannot be achieved with paint.

Luberon has a heavy, industrial look and feel. This thick vinyl has a subtle strie printed on top along the embossed ribbed pattern.

The wood grains of Eastwood are tremendously touchable and realistic. There are 5 new enchanting colorways of this bona fide faux bois pattern in addition to the 4 original colorways introduced in Texture Resource Vol. 4.

Texture Resource Vol. 5 features Thibaut performance wallcoverings that are stain resistant and cleanable, and easily strippable when time to redecorate. As we’ve noted in the past, these fabric-backed vinyls are an attractive and practical choice for high-traffic areas such as hallways, family rooms, mudrooms, kitchens, bathrooms and kids rooms.
