Hello (channel Adele) and welcome to the Bachman’s Spring Ideas House 2016!

Each season designers transform the historical Bachman’s home on Lyndale Avenue by painting, furnishing, and decorating the entire house with their signature mix of new items, repurposed pieces, and a touch of vintage. Refreshing bursts of color are a welcomed sight against a backdrop of soft, muted tones and natural elements.

Key Trends to look for in this season’s Holiday Ideas House:

• Shades of Grey – Provides a sophisticated backdrop for colorful accents.
• Floral Patterns – Offers a tribute to spring through fun and whimsical patterns.
• Terrariums – Gives room a fresh look with a living, botanical creation.
• Coral Color – Revives energy throughout house with refreshing color.

Wallpaper that looks like old tin ceiling tiles grace the sunroom walls. Spring has sprung with coral accents which always look fabulous with gray.

 

Botanical prints in the Garden Room

Check out the paper placemats used as a border in the guestroom. Not shown is a cute headboard drawn on a wall painted with chalkboard paint. Dawn Feda (Hirshfield’s Shop at Home) designed a classic styled valance for the room.

 

The wall panels are a great investment as they’ll look amazing in any room, not just the kitchen.

The polka dot decals stole the show in the girl’s room, along with Hirshfield’s paint color Dreaming of the Day.

This classic drapery with contrasting banding adds a modern feel to a traditional or contemporary space. The drapery panels featured in the living room and dining room are custom from Hirshfield’s Shop at Home.

Who doesn’t want the navy rolling steel fire door in the living room?
