Bachman's 2016 spring ideas house

Hello (channel Adele) and welcome to the Bachman’s Spring Ideas House 2016!

Each season designers transform the historical Bachman’s home on Lyndale Avenue by painting, furnishing, and decorating the entire house with their signature mix of new items, repurposed pieces, and a touch of vintage. Refreshing bursts of color are a welcomed sight against a backdrop of soft, muted tones and natural elements.

Key Trends to look for in this season’s Holiday Ideas House:

  • Shades of Grey – Provides a sophisticated backdrop for colorful accents.
  • Floral Patterns – Offers a tribute to spring through fun and whimsical patterns.
  • Terrariums – Gives room a fresh look with a living, botanical creation.
  • Coral Color – Revives energy throughout house with refreshing color.

Let Bachman’s Ideas House help you forget that it snowed today here in town.

Wallpaper that looks like old tin ceiling tiles grace the sunroom walls. Spring has sprung with coral accents which always look fabulous with gray.

Check out the paper placemats used as a border in the guestroom. Not shown is a cute headboard drawn on a wall painted with chalkboard paint. Dawn Feda (Hirshfield’s Shop at Home) designed a classic styled valance for the room.

The wall panels are a great investment as they’ll look amazing in any room, not just the kitchen.

The polka dot decals stole the show in the girl’s room, along with Hirshfield’s paint color Dreaming of the Day.

No one at Hirshfields could tell me who the manufacturer is of the ceiling tile wallpaper used in the Bachman’s Idea House. It is described as “Hirshfield’s 2701-22305”

It’s from a book called “reclaimed” and the distributor is Brewster. Tell me which Hirshfield’s you were at so I can pass along the info. Sorry for the inconvenience.

      • Janet Anderson Says:

Marsha, thank you for the information! When I stopped At the Hirshfield’s in Baxter, MN I did not have the Number of the pattern with me. The first person I spoke with was from the paint department and the designer on the floor was busy with a customer. But neither of these people seemed to have any idea what The Bachman’s idea house was. I’m a transplant from the twin cities and all of the interior & exterior paint for our house in Lake Shore, MN was from the Baxter Hirshfield’s. I am a Hirshfield’s fan and will continue to be! Thanks again! Janet Anderson

You’re welcome. I don’t know if Baxter has that particular book; give them a call before you make a special trip. I think it’s a good time for me to remind the Baxter store to subscribe to the Hirshfield’s Color Club blog! We appreciate your business and thank you for your support of a local company. Have a good week.
