{friday finds: bits & pieces}

There are times when I just have to share one little item because it is so good-looking, creative, unusual, or it strikes a chord with me. All these amazing items will fall under “bits & pieces.” With that said, I have been saving some of my favorites.

House of Turquoise posted this bathroom last week with the Imperial Trellis wallpaper. I still love this pattern. Here’s a post from last summer showcasing more Imperial Trellis rooms.

This Dolce Vita pattern has the same look as Imperial Trellis, is available in five colorways and  is less expensive than Imperial Trellis. If you like Pantone’s color of the year honeysuckle, you’ll love this colorway.

The International Home and Housewares Show took place in Chicago this past week and here are some wares to look for in the very near future. Color is everywhere.

The Hirshfield’s store in Roseville is seeing more customers using the color combination of blue and green as accents in their homes, and customers are asking to see blue and green wallcovering patterns.  Iffer’s Little Nest shared their collection of blue and green.

Dutch designer Christien Meindertsma knitting with broomstick size needles. The link will bring you to the finished product. A previous project of hers was tracking all products made from one pig.

Ned Marshall’s foyer with Benjamin Moore’s Bittersweet Chocolate on the walls and that lovely pink sofa.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. What grabs your attention? With the barrage of information and visuals that come at us from all directions, what makes you sit up and take notice?
